Opening Up Romans
As I mentioned to my congregation this past Sunday, it’s been 10 years since I’ve preached through Romans. Some of that old audio is here. Having come to a stopping point in 1 Kings (audio/video), it’s time to take up Romans again. If my old notes are accurate, I spent 49 Sundays last time through. I anticipate this series being significantly longer. Maybe not quite as long as Dr. D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones’ 366 sermons over 12+ years, but longer than 49 messages. Below is the opening sermon video. I invite you to read and listen along with us. In the words of F.F. Bruce,
There is no saying what may happen when people begin to study the letter to the Romans. [This study] launched great spiritual movements which have left their mark in world history. But similar things have happened, much more frequently, to very ordinary men and women as the words of this letter came home to them with power. So, let those who have read thus far be prepared for the consequences for reading farther; you have been warned!
